Our Curriculum is designed to be student-centered and learning- focused. From Year 7 through to Year 13, students are exposed to a range of core and optional subjects, leading to National Certificates in Educational Achievement (Levels 1-3), as well as a number of other certificates on the NZQA Framework.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 cover all areas of the curriculum – in a modular programme. Years 7 and 8 are in home rooms, where they enjoy an integrated curricular environment. In Year 9 and 10 students are offered more choice and are grouped in their form classes for core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and PE/Health.
Students in Years 11 to 13 are offered a wide selection of subjects as they begin to specialize in their strengths and interests. In Year 11, students are required to take English, Science, Mathematics and Social Sciences, and choose 2 additional options. In Years 12 and 13, students have more choice about their options, as they are guided into career pathways.
