Putāruru College has enjoyed tremendous success in Digital Video Production over the last few years beginning with winning the 2012 Fair Go National Secondary School Ad Awards and making the finals in 2014, and continuing with success and many other major prizes. Our talented students get to learn and work with Industry Standard equipment and the latest relevant technology within a dedicated production room on many exciting projects throughout the year guaranteed to get their creative juices flowing. This includes live-streaming assemblies etc.
Putāruru College students can expand their cultural awareness and knowledge through participation in Kapa Haka. The group supports college assemblies and other activities.
Tuition is available for a variety of musical instruments via our Itinerant music teachers who come here to teach free of charge. There are many opportunities for performing such as Achievers Assemblies and Prizegivings. Students can also join the Putāruru School of Music for a small charge. These are lessons that take place after school.
