LEARNING SUPPORT | NGĀ KAIĀWHINA AKORANGA

At Putāruru College, we are dedicated to ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed. Our Learning Support team offers a range of services tailored to individual needs, including assistance for students with learning disabilities, behavioural challenges, and diverse learning styles. Support is provided through dedicated spaces like the A1 Learning Centre, small group or one-on-one tutoring, and Study and Chill sessions that offer a relaxed environment for academic help. Our whānau teachers provide ongoing pastoral care and personalised support, while skilled teaching aides work alongside classroom teachers to help students engage fully with their learning. Together, these services create a supportive network that helps every student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
